Richard Holmes received his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton and his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University. Mr. Holmes is currently admitted to practice in multiple states and jurisdictions.
Mr. Holmes' primary area of practice is the representation of the catastrophically injured person throughout the United States and Eastern Canada. He has successfully tried multiple personal injury and heavy trucking catastrophic injury cases.
Mr. Holmes, one of the leading trucking lawyers in the U.S., has an extensive history of working on behalf of individuals and corporations with United States Governmental entities including:
- Department of Transportation
- Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
- National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
- Department of Homeland Security
Mr. Holmes served on the Council of the Negligence Section for the State Bar of Michigan and co-authored A Practical Guide to Depositions in Michigan, published by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education. He is a frequent lecturer on the representation of parties in transportation claims as well as trial tactics and regulatory compliance in the United States and Canada.
